We request you to kindly direct the DDOs to make the deduction of renewal fees and remit to same to us if not already done for the month of April 2008. We are constrained to make this request as we have not received the remittance from many DDOs in your charge so far.

Sub : Verification of membership of Income tax Employees
Federation CCS (RSA) Rules, 1993. Deduction of
Renewal fees from the salary of members for the
Month of April,2008 and remittance thereof to the
ITEF CHQ.

We invite your kind reference to the Board's letter in F.No. 12020/ 8/ 03 Ad.IX dated 3rd March,1997 a copy of which is enclosed for your ready reference. As per the said direction, declaration forms duly filled up and signed by our members have already been filed before the concerned DDOs and also to your office, on the basis of which recognition was afforded to this Federation. We now request you to kindly direct the concerned DDOs to deduct from the salary of members of this Federation at the rates given hereunder the for month of April,2008. We also send herewith a copy of the O.M.No. 9(4)/93 TA/1006 dated 2-12-1993 detailing the procedure for deduction.
In respect of all Group C employees other than Record Keepers Rs.20/-
In respect of all Group D employees and Record Keepers Rs.10/-
As per the provisions of the Constitution of ITEF, the above amount is to be paid by each Group C and D employee towards the renewal of membership and no other subscription is to be deducted for the month of April,2008. In respect of the subsequent months, the subscription amounts as determined by the Circle Conference/GB meeting of the concerned Circles will be intimated by the Circle General Secretary for enabling the DDOs to make deductions and remit the same to the concerned Circle General Secretaries.

It is noticed that such remittances were not regularly receiving from the DDOs inspite of repeated reminders. It will, therefore, be appreciated if the Zonal Accounts Officer is directed to send the renewal fees immediately after the salary is disbursed intimating the number of Group C and D Staff in respect of whom the renewal fees is remitted.
We shall be grateful if you will kindly instruct the DDO to make the deductions from the salary of our members for the month of April,2008 at the rates mentioned above and remit the same in the form of DD to the undersigned in the below mentioned address:
